Elktail is a calm cat, rarely to be fazed by even the most grotesque sight. Quiet and thoughtful, he is a good listener, and also good at offering advice or comfort. He rarely shares his own feelings though, and can seem cold at times and just in general is slightly grumpy.

Despite what would often make him come off as having a patient attitude, there is one thing that really gets on his nerves: young cats. Apprentices especially. It’s not rare to hear Elktail muttering about how they’re always overstepping their boundaries, always getting hurt or into trouble, always this or that bad thing. That in mind, it has taken him some time to get an apprentice himself, and he isn’t the friendliest towards his own now.

On the other hand, Elktail has a very deep trust and respect for StarClan, and despite how confusing and vague they can occasionally be, would never say a harsh word about it.

~Short Description~

~Description~
With short, granite-brown fur and the most common of all cat markings, tabby stripes, Elktail’s coloring is nothing unique. The small patches of white on his muzzle and chest are his only variations from his base, but also not anything very special. A streak of white on the underside of his tail is, however, his namesake.

His build is sleek, well-formed, and overall very average. His eyes are green and a little small, although more due to his tendency to squint.

~History~
Elktail was born into RiverClan, and hadn’t seen many moons before it became apparent that he was destined to be a Medicine Cat. Once he was old enough to wander the camp, his favorite place to go was the medicine cat’s den. The medicine cat then was a friendly fellow, and allowed Elkkit to tag along with him on visits to the elders and queens, and even before his becoming an apprentice, let him in on the basics of herbs. When Elkkit reached six moons, he was assigned as the medicine cat’s apprentice and his training simply skyrocketed from there.

When, then Elkpaw, was fifteen moons old, tragedy struck in the form of the thunderpath. When warriors brought back reports of an unknown cat fallen inside the borders of WindClan, right alongside the thunderpath, Elkpaw and the medicine cat went out to see if the loner could be saved. The lone cat was too badly injured to be easily moved, and so the medicine cat merely got to work treating him there. Elkpaw was sent back to fetch more supplies and missed when a monster swerved from the path and killed not only the loner, but the medicine cat and one of the warriors standing by.

With that gloomy beginning, Elkpaw became Elktail, Medicine Cat of RiverClan. Although unnerved by the realization of just how fragile life is, he has worked hard since and proved a valuable asset to the clan, despite his occasional grouchy moment.
