Myra shook her head. "That wouldn't work. Our scent would be everywhere. That's our biggest concern, hiding our scent. There has to be a better way to do it. Perhaps there's a way that we couldn't end up smelling like dogs. Then we would wash before returning to camp and leave his body somewhere to be found. After a few days I will name you as our new Alpha Male."
But figuring out how to smell like dogs would be the hard part. For if their scent wasn't hidden then the whole clan would be suspicious of them. It would take careful planning and much time to carry it out perfectly. If only it could be as easy as dragging his nearly dead body to a pack of dogs.

Shards hate filled yellow eyes looked down at the ground. As he tried to think of ever possible way they could end up smelling like dogs. If it was smelling like a fox or a badger it would be easy. But a dog, how would they even get close to one with out getting into a fight. He knew Myra was right though, they would have to find some way to cover up their scent. The midnight black tom knew of some dogs that nests out side their masters nest. Their nest looked like little versions of the twolegs houses. Maybe we could use those to get the dog scent all over us. He knew of one dog that got dragged inside at night leaving the dogs nest empty.
"I know of some dog nests that are empty at night. Maybe we could use them to help us cover our scent." Shard meowed, breaking the silence. The little beam of moon light had now vanished leaving the two blood thirsty cats in the dark once more.

The calico she-cat nodded slowly. "That just might be what we need. Good thinking." The fact that she complimented the tom surprised her, though she kept her expression black to hide it. She just hoped he wouldn't pick up on it. "Now its my job to figure out how to lure him away from camp and spying eyes."
Her eyes glowed in the darkness and her thoughts whirled. Ideas flitted by, each one shot down by her quick mind. She needed something foolproof, but something that wasn't urgent enough for him to feel the need to bring along others. No, he must come alone, he mustn't suspect a thing or all their plans would be ruined. She had to act as though everything were normal and that act must start immediately if it was to be believable. "Perhaps I should show more interest in him. Get him to think he has a chance of having kits with me. With enough time it would be easy to get him out of camp with a single look." Her eyes narrowed with amusement. It would be fun to play with him. "Well, what do you think Shard?"

That would work, he thought as Myra told him of her plan. Myra had a way with toms, the poor fool wouldn't know what hit him. Playing with other cats emotions was her specialty. There would be no way that it could fail. Shard nodded his head. "That would work, all you need to do is play with his emotions. That should be fun for you." Shard said smiling evilly. He wish he would get to have fun killing the alpha male. But he knew that he had to kill him fast. He couldn't torture him like he normally would. Myra and him would have to make sure they both did their parts of the plan perfectly.
"This needs to go perfectly, if one thing is out of line then we will be killed." The alpha male would kill him if he knew he was alone with Myra. If he found out what they where doing know. Who knows what he would do to them. That fool, he was always acting like he ran Bloodclan. When it was easy to see that it was Myra who was controlling the clan. He wouldn't be half the leader he was with out her telling him what to do.

The she-cat nodded, a wicked grin appearing on her face. The tip of her tail twitched with satisfaction as she thought of their plan. It was perfect. A sudden noise behind her made her ears flatten. Spinning around she pounced, razor sharp claws outstretched. Her paws grew damp with blood as her claws sunk deep into warm flesh.
A squeal erupted from the poor creature. It was just a rabbit but she was on edge. It could have been a cat listening in on their conversation. That would spell certain death for them both. Sinking her claws in a little deeper she let the poor creature suffer for a moment longer before dispatching it with a sharp bite to the base of its skull. With a small hiss she abandoned the carcass, not really hungry for the warm flesh that waited to be eaten. Nodding toward the rabbit she spoke to Shard. "You can have it if you want."
Sitting in one fluid and graceful movement she began to lick her paws, cleaning them of the crimson liquid that stained their snowy fur. The sweet taste of blood filled her mouth as she did this, making her shiver with pleasure. Sometimes the best part about any kill was the blood.

Shard took the rabbit happily. He took a mouth full of the warm flesh. Its warmth filled his mouth as he chewed. He had only had rabbit a few times. It was by far better then rats. Even if this rabbit was ten times smaller then the rabbits Windclan was use too. "Would you like the rest of it Myra?" Shard asked, it was always good to offer any fresh kill to the alphas. After all it was never good to get on the bad side of an alpha. Shard sat up a slowly licked his lips clean. For the first time in moons he was full fed. "We best be going back to the camp." Shard meowed sadly, he liked spending alone time with Myra. But he also knew if they spent to much time away from camp the alpha male would get mad.
The alpha maybe weak but he was no fool. If he noticed that they where gone for a long time. He would suspect that something was up. They couldn't risk him suspecting anything was going on between the two cats. Shard cleaned his face one last time and stood up. It would soon be sunrise. If they where going to be home before anyone noticed they where gone. They would have to leave now, as much as Shard didn't want too. He knew as soon as they got back to camp he wouldn't be able to get close to Myra. He shook his head clear, he would just have to wait. His time would soon come to be alpha male. His yellow eyes glowed with the thought of all that power.

She shook her head at his offer. She really wasn't hungry at the moment, though the rabbit's warm flesh was tempting. She flicked her tail, a sharp motion that reflected a glimmer of anger. She didn't want to return to camp, a camp filled with mouse-brained cats that followed their alpha male blindly. They didn't even realize that she was the one really pulling the strings behind the scenes.
The only thing good about them was that they followed orders well. Most were mindless fighting machines, willing to throw away their lives with a single command. This would go well when she launched her attack, but after she was in control of the forest she would weed out the weaklings from the start, leaving only the strongest and most cunning to survive. Her and Shard would rule by fear, all those below them too frightened of the consequences to break the rules. It wasn't how she would have preferred it to be, but things would get out of control without someone strong to maintain the peace.

Shard slowly walked over to Myra, he didn't want to leave not yet. He sat down next to the she-cat, so close that his pelt was touching hers. He froze with fear, hoping Myra wouldn't be mad that he was sitting so close to her. But he needed his fix of her before they left. The power he felt coming off of her was like a drug to him. He needed to feel it one last time. It would be a long time before he would get the chance to be this close to her again.
He hated himself for being like this, for having any feelings at all. He wished he could just get over Myra. But no matter how hard he tried he could never do it. Power and Myra where the only things he had ever carried about.

She allowed his touch, surprised that he was brave enough to risk her wrath. Few cats would attempt to be this close to her, even the alpha male wouldn't touch her. And most cats she wouldn't tolerate it from either.
But Shard was different. She could feel the power rolling off his and it was intoxicating. She wished she could wrap her entire body in it. With a soft growl she moved away, not wanting to lost control and do something stupid.
"We need to get back." Her voice was soft and silky, though still dark. It wasn't just a suggestion anymore, it was more of an order. By now they would be missed, and the alpha male could be very suspicious. It would be dangerous to stay much longer, though she ached to do so.
