A cat walked through the camp on this moonless night. His eyes glowing with anger and hate. Shard slowly walked out of camp looking for his next meal. The cold leaf-fall air made his breath visible. The tom stopped and looked around to make sure no one was following him. He never liked to be disturbed when he was hunting. He started to walk again only getting a few whisker lengths away from camp when he found a rat. Its eyes glowing red in the night. Shard locked on to his target. His yellow eyes watching its every movement. Before the rat could even sense anything was wrong Shard pounced. He slowly killed it, he had always loved to kill.
He slowly ate the rat its rotten taste filling his mouth. How long was he going to have to eat like this. I can't live off of half dead rats forever he thought to himself. He sat down and started to wash his face clean. He stopped as he heard another cat coming up behind him. Well, well maybe I will get a chance to do some fighting before I go home.

The little calico stepped out of the shadows, her blue eyes round and seemingly innocent. Her small frame could barely be seen in the dark night, only a small outline showing where she stood. Her tail was help high, the tip quivering with excitement. The smell of blood still clung to the air, making her shiver with pleasure. Slowly she circled around the tom before her, her eyes narrowing slightly as her gaze fell on him. Myra stopped, her small paws kneading at the soft ground beneath them, her razor sharp claws leaving deep furrows in the dark earth. "Well who do we have here?"

"Hello Myra," Shard said as he dipped his head in respect for the alpha. Of all the rotten luck, the is no way I'm fighting an alpha. Shard looked at his paws not wanting to make eye contact with Myra. He was no fool, he could take on many cats. But Myra was one he wouldn't even attempt to mess with. Even though she was smaller then him. He knew if he tried to take her on he would end up dead. Shard shuttered at the thought of what the alpha female would do to him if he stepped one paw out of line. Shard looked up at the innocent looking she-cat. He only hoped he hadn't done anything wrong to anger Myra.

She let out a purr of amusement as she watched Shard. A moment ago he had seemed like he had been waiting for a fight, she could tell as much just by his body language. But seeing her changed that and he immediately turned a bit submissive to her. It was a good thing, and many cats that didn't learn that ended up dead.
As she looked at the tom she thought of his strengths. He didn't show mercy, that was one thing that made him a good cat to have on her side. He was loyal to Bloodclan, and he was one of their best. She was glad to have him, and soon enough he would be a very important cat to have. Soon enough, they would have their revenge.

Shard watched as the pretty she-cat circled him. He couldn't help but drooled over her. She was after all the only she-cat he had ever liked. He knew she was strictly off limits to him, after all she was the Alpha female. The Alpha male would kill him if he so much as looked at her wrong. He quickly looked back down at his paws not wanting Myra to see he had been watching her. He shook his head, did he have a death wish. "Myra I'm sick of eating these half dead rats. While the clan cats stuff themselves on plump mice and birds." Shard meowed hoping Myra would agree with him. Shard always got angry at even the thought of the clans. What made them so special they where all weaklings in his mind.

A small laugh escaped her tiny frame at his words and she curled her body around his, letting her tail wrap around his. "Just you wait, soon enough the clans will be living off rats and we will be the ones with plump mice and warm rabbits. But you must be patient." Just as quickly as her frame had been molded to Shard's she was gone, a few mouse lengths from the strong tom, a teasing smile on her face. Oh yes, she knew his one weakness. But then again, that was the same weakness most toms had. And she was good at using it against them.

Shard couldn't help but follow Myra. His poor tom mind was easy for Myra to control. This she-cat was his one true weakness. He was one of the coldest cats in the forest. But as soon as he saw Myra smile his heart melted. What a fool I am for following this she-cat around like a kit following his mother. Shard hated having a weakness but no mater what he did he could not over come it. Just her sweet scent was enough to bring him down. He shook his head clear again as he got closer to Myra. He stopped keeping his distance from the her. She was so hard to read, that he didn't want to do anything that would get him into trouble.

Moving closer to him again she let her fur brush against his, gently, just barely touching, but enough that she knew it would drive him crazy. "When Bloodclan has taken over the forest, you can rule by my side." Her voice was barely audible, a soft whisper in Shard's ear. "Our alpha now is weak, he doesn't deserve to be the alpha male. But you do. Kill him for me, and you can take his place."
Padding away from the tom she let him ponder her words. She stopped in a beam of moonlight as it struggled to break through the thick black clouds above. Her blues eyes glowed dimly in the darkness and she watched Shard, waiting to see what he would do.
Her thoughts fell back to her dream. A dark forest had been spread around her, filled with fighting cats, cats that were already dead. She could see them battling, their dark figures dim compared to the bright starry cats they fought, but the darkness was winning. Then the real forest was stretched before her. Bloodclan, with another group of cats by their side, sweeping through the forest and turning it red with the blood of dead cats, the cats of the clans. Soon enough Bloodclan would reign over the forest and their dark ancestors would bring terror to the skies.

A shiver went up shards back as Myra whispered in his ear. A large smile evil smile covered his face. The alpha male would be easy for him to take down. After all he was one of the strongest cats in Bloodclan. Shard had always wanted to be alpha. He could just picture it now. If Bloodclan did take over the forest that would mean he would have complete control over the whole forest. He dug his claws into the dirt. All he would have to do is kill the alpha male. It would have to wait though for a better time. He would have to kill the alpha male when he was at his weakest. Shard looked over at Myra, sometimes she can be so hard to read. Shard thought, Myra was the one cat he could never read.
He wished he could just get a glimpse at what she was thinking. He slowly walked over to her and sat next to her in pale moonlight. "I'm going to kill the alpha male. But not right now, I need to wait for just the right time."

Myra nodded at his words. Letting her head rest against his shoulder she spoke again. "That's the first lesson that we teach our apprentices, wait for the opportune moment. Otherwise you'll get yourself killed." She thought of the moment when she would rid of the weak cat that ruled beside her and when she would have Shard by her side. They would be unstoppable.
"I could even help you. I could lead him into a trap, catch him off guard. It would be perfect and no cat, not even him, would know what really happened." A shiver ran down her spine as this she thought of the power this cat beside her had. It would be easy for him to destroy the current alpha male. The only thing she would miss about him was how easy it was to get him to do what she wanted. But with Shard beside her, Bloodclan would become more powerful.

Shards heart skipped a beat as Myra rested her head on his shoulder. He quickly focused on his breathing to try to slow down his heart. He hated that this she-cat could do this to him. It was so unlike him to let his emotions get the better of him. When he got his emotions under control again smiled. This will be perfect he thought. If everything went right he would have the two things he had always wanted in life. First he would have complete control over the whole forest. Second he would get to be with Myra. That weak little alpha didn't dissever to be with her. He would make a much better alpha then he ever would.
"I will need your help if we are to bring him down. He maybe weak but he has all of Bloodclan guarding him." He knew he could kill the alpha no problem, but throw all of his guards and he would have some problems. The only way this will work is if we get him on his own. He looked over at Myra, he knew the only cat that could get him to go anywhere by himself was her.

Her eyes narrowed. Bloodclan followed him blindly when he didn't even deserve their loyalty. They didn't know how weak he really was. All they saw was what she told him to do. They didn't know that she secretly ruled. She may be the alpha female but the alpha male still held more power in the eyes of the clan. It was just like any other society, ruled by males. But soon enough they would see her for what she really was.
"That won't be a problem, the rest of the clan cannot find out though. If they do, then it will spell almost certain death for both of us. I may be the alpha female and I may have their respect and fear but if any of them were to find out that I had a part in his death then they would come after me as well as you." With a sigh she licked his cheek. "But once he's gone you and me can rule, equally I might add. You may not think so, but I know how to share, especially with someone as brave and strong as you."
Myra was toying with him again. It was true some of things she said. She would let him rule just as equally with her and she didn't mind sharing with him. But she was playing with his emotions, making him want to do as she said. She knew it didn't really pose much of a danger for him. It would be easy to get the alpha male to follow her out of camp. To lead him to a cliff, to spin a story of a dog attacking, of him trying to fight it off, pushing it over the edge, but in the process he too would fall. But in all reality it would be Shard that killed him, slitting his throat before he even knew what hit him. It would be perfect. Their little secret.

Shard nodded as Myra talked to him. This was true if anyone else found out about what they where planing they would be killed. Even two of the strongest cats in the forest would be no match against all of Bloodclan. If they where smart about how they killed him no one would ever find out. "I swear no one will find out about what we are planing." This would be a secret he would take to his grave. He liked the thought of Myra and him sharing the power. She was the only cat he would ever share with. This fact disgusted him, how did she do it. He would never dream of sharing his power with any other cat. But if as soon as it came to sharing with Myra. He would be willing to share almost anything with her. Even the thing that meant most to him in this world, power.
Shards yellow eyes glowed in the dark as he looked a Myra. What was her secret, what did she do that could bring any tom down. Including him, what ever it was he didn't mind so much. He liked her power over others, a power he didn't have. He was strong and could rule over other cats with fear. But she on the other hand could control cats in a more subtle way. This power of hers drove Shard crazy. It was a power he would never have or understand. Whatever it was it didn't matter he was already under her spell. He knew no matter how hard he fought to get free from it he never would win. I might as well give up on this fight Shard thought. For the first time he had lost. But he couldn't keep fighting the fact that he deeply carried for Myra.

She gave a small nod of agreement. For whatever reason, she believed the tom, not something she did often as it was an easy way to get herself killed. Even now it could. If Shard really wanted to all he had to do was tell the clan what she was planning and she would be dead.
She shook off the idea. No, he liked her far too much for that. It was the downfall of every tom, letting their emotions for a she-cat get in the way of reason. It's silly really, for something like that to even be possible, but she used it to her advantage whenever possible.
If she was honest with herself though, she didn't mind being around Shard, it was even enjoyable. She didn't trust him completely but what Bloodclan cat could you trust?

Shard took a step toward Myra, "The next new moon is when we should kill him. You will have to find some way to lure him out of the camp alone. Then all I will have to do is stay down wind of him tell the time is right then kill him quickly." Shard hated killing quickly, he loved to watch cats suffer. It would be hard for him but he could control himself just this once. The only thing would be he needed to make it look like a dog or another clan cat killed him. He needed to make it look like Myra and him had nothing to do with it.
"Maybe instead of killing him, I could just seriously wound him. To the point he couldn't do anything. Then I could drag him to the twolegs house and when they let the dogs out at night. Let them kill him off that way it looked like it was the dogs that killed him." He meowed to Myra darkly, this would be a harder to pull off. But if they did it right no cat would question what killed him.
