Bearclaw watched as fish darted back and forth in the river. They where unaware of the danger that lurked right above them. The young tabby watched them with unblinking green eyes. If he couldn't afford to miss even once, then he would have nothing to bring back to the clan. He slowly lifted his paw up waiting for just the right time to strike. His heart started to beat faster as the time to attack grew closer. One little mistake from one fish was all he needed. In a blink of an eye he hit the fish out of the water. It flopped around on the bank. Its silver scales sinning in the sun. The tom ran over a quickly took its life in on swift movement. He looked up to the sky and thanked Starclan for letting him catch this prey.
Bearclaw picked up his prey. It's flavor filling his mouth. He wanted nothing more then to eat it in a few mouth fulls. I know better then that he thought. If I do eat it I would be breaking the warrior code. He slowly walked along the shore keeping an eye out for other fish. Bearclaws light brown tabby head shot up as he heard a cat coming toward him. What if it was an enemy warrior, or a rouge. He couldn't tell who or what it was with this fish in his mouth.

Two blue eyes looked at the warrior and poped out of the bushes and tilted her head. She sat down infront of the warrior and looked at the fish. "I wish I knew how to catch one. You make it look so easy. Of course to an apprentice as like me nothing is ever easy." she mewed with a little giggle somewhere in that speech. "Did I startle you? I'm sorry if I did I really didnt mean to I was just out walking and I came across your sent and then I saw you by the river and you caught that fish and I just had to know how you did it." she mewed in a sweet voice.

Bearclaw laughed at the apprentice. He remembered when he was that eager to learn how to hunt. Even though he had only been a warrior for a few moons. It seemed like ages since he had gotten his warrior name. "If you want I can show you a trick or two." Bearclaw meowed, he had always wanted an apprentice of his own. He walked over to the river. Leaving his fish on the ground next to him. He looked into the river to see if their where any fish swimming around. "Ok come over here and I will show you how a really warrior catches fish." Bearclaw looked at the little fish that swam around in the river. They would be just the right size for the apprentice to practice on.

Promisepaw gave a smile and bounced up next to the tom and looked into the river. She tilted her head and mewed, "Fish are such funny looking animals." She couldn't help but give a laugh. Promisepaw could sit here all day and watch them swim. "So, they dont know we are looking at them?" she asked looking up at bearclaw.

Bearclaw laughed at the apprentice. "Yes they are funny looking" He meowed looking over at the young apprentice. His fluffy brown coat fluffed up against the cold leaf-fall wind that had now started."They will only see you if you let your shadow fall across the water." Bearclaw meowed looking down watching the tiny fish slowly swimming around. There silver scales sinned in the weak sunlight.
"Alright Promisepaw, what you are going to do is sit very still. Wait for a fish to swim close to you. When one dos scope it out of the water to the edge of the river. Then when it is on the edge of the river you must quickly finish it off. Before it flops back into the river." Bearclaw took a step back to let the young apprentice try to get a fish. He smiled, he longed for an apprentice of his own.
