Soft paw steps padded on the ground with her black pelt moving slowly through the trees and bushes. Confessionsong had never seen this part of the forest before and really didnt like the feeling of being here yet she wanted to check it out.
She got to a fense and squeezed under it. She was now on the other side and kept herself behind the bushes. She had never seen so many big dens. She saw some other cats in those dens but it seemed none ofthem saw her. She gave a blink and tilted her head and crept forward. Her ears forward and her yellow eyes scanned the large open area that was behind the large den.
She stepped out of the bushes and slowly moved to the big den infront of her and she was half way their when she heard a bark. She shot her head to the side and saw a big brown dog coming at her. Confessionsong froze. Her eyes widened and she clawed the ground. Her heart pounded and with ever blink she took the dog came closer and closer...

A dark orange she-cat walked alone, occasionally sniffing the air for any signs of other cats. Her pelt glowed red in the moonlight. The green leaves that once covered the trees where now gone. Leaving only brown branches, she was worried. Leaf-bare was coming sooner then she had expected. As she walked deeper into the forest she caught a sent of a cat. Crimsonstar instantly new it was the scent of Confessionsong. What is she doing this far into the forest she thought as she followed the scent. Her heart stopped as she followed the scent to the twolegged homes. She heard a dog high pitch bark and knew something was very wrong.
She took off running, not away from the dog like another cat normally would. She was running toward the creature. Her heart pounded in her ears as she got closer to where the sound was coming from. She burst through some bushes to see Confessionsong starting straight at a white dog that was coming straight for her. With out hesitation the leader jump at the dog with out stretched claws. No dumb dog would ever hurt a member of her clan. She ducked under the dog's body and scratched its stomach. The dog howled in pain and reared up. Almost landing back down on the leader.
Crimsonstar jumped out from under the dog. The dog growled showing it's yellow stained teeth. The dog charged Crimsonstar and managed to catch her hind leg. Crimsonstar closed her eyes as pain raced through her body. She opened her eyes, she turned and started scratching the dogs eyes. The dog let go blinded by Crimsonstars long claws. The dog took of running as fast as it could, back to it's owners den. Crimsonstar turned around to make sure Confessionsong was ok.
Her long orange fur was soaked in blood, from her own wound and from the wounds she gave the dog. "Are you ok" she gasped out as she tried to catch her breath. She tried to walk over to the she-cat but her hind leg screamed with protest. The dog must have done more damage then I thought. She looked down to see her leg covered in blood. |

Confessionsong closed her eyes and said a prayer to starclan before she would be visinting them. She then heard the god yowl in pain and Confessionsong saw her own leader and the dog going at it!
Confessionsong stayed where she was and watched the whole thing right before her eyes. Her heart beated against her chest and witn in matters of seconds the fight was over. The dog ran away seeing her leader blinded the dog with her sharp claws. She stayed where she was and saw her leader trying to crawl over to her. Confessionsong then snapped out of it and padded over to her leader and sniffed her wound and didnt reply to her leaders question. Her eyes gave a hint of sadness and she looked up at her leader and got next to her and waited for her to press up against her to help her out of here. She shot her head up hearing another bark and gave a growl. She nudged her leader twice hoping she would get up and let her help.

"Why is the barking getting quieter?" she whispered to Confessionsong. The she-cats body shivered on the cold hard ground. She started to panic as everything started going black. What is wrong with me? Did the dog damage my eyes as well as my leg? Crimsonstar didn't even remember getting hurt anywhere close to her eyes. The dog's barking was still getting farther and farther away. Crimsonstar felt her body getting very cold. As if every ounce of warmth was getting sucked out of her. Then everything went quite, slowly Crimsonstar opened her eyes. She was laying in the middle of the Island. What am I doing here she thought to her self.
Crimsonstar got up filling full of energy and life. She took in a deep breath, filling her lungs full of warm air. Crimsonstar looked down at her leg. It was completely healed but how? She started to walk around trying to find the cat that brought her here. As if summoned by this thought the cats of Starclan started to appear in front of her. Suddenly Crimsonstar knew exactly where she was. She had lost her first life. "Welcome Crimsonstar" all the cats seemed to say at once. Their pelts looking as if they where on fire. I can't be losing a life she thought as she looked at all the cats. Surely my injury was not that bad for me to lose a life. She shook her head, she had always been so careful not to lose a life. Her clan needed her for many more moons.
"Crimsonstar you have lost your first life, but now your wounds have healed and it is time to go back to your clan." The voice not coming from one particular cat. Crimsonstar watched as the heavenly warriors started to disappear one by one. Then slowly everything went dark and cold again. Barking filled her ears and she felt a cat nudging her. Her eyes flew open as she remembered where she was. She slowly got up still very weak. "Come on Confessionsong we need to get out of here." Crimsonstar meowed her voice sounding very weak. She leaned up against the she-cat and started to walk. The barking of a dog coming closer to them with every heart beat. If we don't find somewhere to hide fast, we will both be killed. |

With a soft thud the huge black tom landed after jumping down from a tree above the two cats. His dark eyes were narrowed as he took in their appearance. "Well well, what do we have here?" Silentwraith's voice was low, almost threatening as he watched the two she-cats.
He circled them, his black tail lashing from side to side. He sniffed the air, his ears pinning against his head as he smelled blood. "What have you two managed to yourselves into?" |

Crimsonstar glared at the tom, great of all the cats Starclan could send to help me the send him. She never really trusted the tom, there was just something about him that didn't sit right with her. "Stop staring you moused brain fool and help. Like maybe you can help Confessionsong help me to a hiding place before that dog gets here and tears us all to shreds." Crimsonstar barked the order, she heard the dog coming closer. By the sound of it this dog was bigger then the last one. She just hoped Silentwraith would help. If he does this at least I will know I can trust him to some extant. |

The black tom smirked before flicking his tail. He could hear the dog coming and by the look of the two she-cats in front of his they were in no condition to fight. "Follow me." He led the way quickly, though slow enough that they could keep up. He signaled with his tail to a hole in the ground. It was a badger set. Its smelled strongly of badger though they had chased it out days ago. "The stench should be enough to through of the dog's trail and if it isn't there's a way out through the back." |

Confessionsong felt tears in her eyes as she saw her leader blakc out. Was she losing a life? She nudged the leader and soon found she was out. Confessionsong stayed by her leader no matter what and waited. She didnt know what for, but she waited.
She circled around her leaders body in protecting it and finally heard something from her. She raced over to Crimsonstar and nuzzeled her gently. She agreed with her leader, they had to get out of here. She felt her leader on her shoulder and didnt mind a bit she was on it. She started walking and soon enough another tom came crshing down infront of them and circled them. She gave a growl to the cat and was ready to spring if neededing to. She then heard her leader tell him to help and shockingly he did.
She follwed the tom still with her leader next to her and found he led them to a badger hole. She wrinkled her nose in the smell and knew it was the only way out. She looked at her leader and then at the hole. She gave a ye roll to the tom and then turned to her leader and asked, "Would you like to go first?"

"Yes," she meowed nodding to the she-cat. Crimsonstar held her breath as she went down into the badger set. It reeked of badger but it was stale. The stench would help hide them from the dog. Crimsonstars eyes adjusted to the little light as the badger set leveled out. She sat down waiting for the others to follow her down.
She prayed to Starclan that the dog would run right past them. She was in no shape for another round with a dog. |
