Her pale fur was a blur across the dry yellow hills, its pale grays and oranges blending together as she moved. Her paws landed silently on the dry earth as she chased her prey, zigzagging across the landscape after the agile rabbit, her own agility matching it. Her tail flew out behind her, whipping from side to side as she used to it steer, making sharp turns in the blink of an eye.
Glass-Shard watched carefully, waiting for the perfect moment. Her amber eyes were locked on her prey, never looking away for a moment. There it was. It stumbled for just a moment, a small stutter in its step. Her muscles bunched before releasing, giving her the extra burst of speed she needed. Her paws came down hard on the rabbits back, her greater weight crushing it to the ground, her claws digging into its flesh. With a single quick bite she killed it, the warm blood filling her mouth. Releasing it, she licked her lips, her pink tongue flitting over her muzzle. With a yawn she stretched, her back arching and her claws extending. Her amber eyes glanced around, her sharp senses immediately noticing her visitor.
