Her light silver pelt glowed in the bright moonlight, her small paws falling silently in the tall green grass covering the moor. Dark blue flowers grew here, their petals facing the moon. During the day they closed but under the light of the moon they unfolded, revealing their beautiful petals and the lighter colored star shape within them. She padded carefully to avoid the flowers, her light shape starry and bright in the dark field.
Her clear blue eyes wandered across her surroundings, taking in the peaceful environment. Trees swayed along the perimeter of the open area, marking the beginning of the forest that surrounded the moors. Their leaves were full and dark green, though below in the land of the living the seasons had changed and soon the world would be dusted in white as leafbare officially made its presence known. The gentle breeze tickled her pelt, making her medium length fur ruffle just a little bit. Closing her eyes she enjoyed the feeling for just a moment before continuing on.
When she reached the middle of the field she stopped, curling her tail around her paws as she sat. Her eyes gazed down into the clear pool of water at her feet. It was just a small pool, not like the lake the clans lived around. Just a small pond in the middle of rolling hills. It wasn't just a pond though, it was their way of communicating with the cats of the clans. Her eyes watched carefully as she found her clan, saw what was happening reflected in the silver pool as though it was a mirror. More and more often she had taken to watching Shadowclan, the place she had called home until her death. The tip of her tail twitched slowly as she gazed into camp, watching cats preparing for the night. A guard was already sitting by the camp entrance, his eyes vigilantly watching the darkness outside the camp, watching for any sign of trouble.
Inside the nursery the kits were already asleep, their tiny bodies bundled together against the cold outside, tiny squeaks erupting from their small forms intermittently. Queens curled around them, using their own bodies to provide extra warmth. In the apprentices den cats were still awake, sharing stories of their day's adventures. She shook her head, thinking back to when she had told those same stories. Warriors were curled in their nest, already sleeping, resting for the long day of work they would wake to. In her den, Crimsonstar paced warily, probably worrying about her clan and how they would survive the harsh leafbare moons. It wouldn't be easy for any clan, it would be harsher this year then in past moons. But they would manage, they always did.
A noise behind her snapped her attention back to her world. Fawnpaw gazed around, looking for the source of the noise. "Hello." Her voice was like that of bells chiming, a bright yet calming sound, like a wind chime. Her light blue-gray eyes peered into the dim light, looking for whatever cat was there. She waited patiently for them to make their presence known, wondering if it might be a newer arrival, one that was unsure of their new home and the cats within it.
